2010 IASP Daejeon

In 1973, a site covering 27.8㎢, the Korean government began the construction of DAEDEOK INNOPOLIS. The cost of the development was one trillion Korean won, which was provided by the national government and private businesses.DAEDEOK INNOPOLIS is located approximately 167.3 km south of Seoul, 294 km from Busan and 169 km from Gwangju.
In total, there are 70 R&D institutes, six universities, and 800 high-tech companies situated on this site, which is regarded as one of the most highly favored areas to live and work in Korea. For operational purposes, the grounds have been organized into five distinctive zones.
