The DAEDEOK INNNOPOLIS complex consists of a cluster of firms that represent a cross-section of Korea's cutting-edge industries, including information technology, biotechnology and nanotechnology. DAEDEOK INNOPOLIS accommodates top-tier venture firms and research firms from various fields; a good majority of these firms have a proven track record in the commercialization of DRAM and SRAM semiconductor chips, LCD modules, cell phone technology, and wireless broadband technologies. Thirteen of the companies from DAEDEOK INNOPOLIS are already listed on KOSDAQ with more expected to be listed in the future. Following the enactment of special legislation in 2005 to spur the growth of our complex, we have been receiving additional backing from the central government in Seoul, and interest in DAEDEOK INNOPOLIS continues to grow rapidly.
Currently 824 high-tech companies are managed within our complex, but with the huge surge in interest, we expect to have 1500 high-tech companies by 2010, and 3,000 by 2015.
